Python up to OOP, plus trophy-goal podium views
More Python practice for lessons, homework and students ready to go further, with new post-16 units and a classroom trophy-goal podium.
The free step-by-step Python course now extends to object-oriented programming, with new units supporting post-16 study as well as further GCSE practice.
The additions cover working with data, putting Python skills together in longer tasks, dictionaries and OOP. Students follow worked examples, write their own code and check their answers as they go.
That gives you ready-to-use practice to support what you’re teaching, without preparing another set of programming tasks. Students can continue for homework or work beyond the topics covered in class, with their code and progress kept in the same place.
A new classroom view for trophy goals
Set a trophy goal for lessons or homework, either for independent progress or for particular course steps you want students to practise. You can follow how they’re getting on from the goal board.
Following teacher feedback, the board now has a podium view for the classroom screen. It celebrates the leading trophy totals without placing students further from their goal at the bottom of a ranked list. Shared places are recognised, and you can switch to an alphabetical whole-class view.
Explore the expanded Python course. As always, feedback from you and your classes is welcome.
