Guide 1

Set up your school and first class

From signing in to a class full of students in about ten minutes. Nothing to install, no passwords to manage.

1. Sign in

Go to the login page and sign in with your school Google or Microsoft account. There are no new passwords, for you or your students.

2. Create your school

First time in, choose create a school and give it your school's name. You become the school owner. Colleagues join later through a join link from school settings, so there are no separate accounts to administer.

3. Create a class

From Classes, choose Create a class. Name it the way your timetable does ("9B Computing" works better than "Python Group A"), set the year group, and save.

4. Invite your students

Open the class and choose Copy join link. Share it however you normally share links with that class. Students sign in with their own school Google or Microsoft account and land in your class. Nothing to install, and no passwords for you to reset on a Monday morning.

5. Check the room is in

Your class page shows everyone who has joined, and every student that's waiting to be accepted in one click. Once the list looks right, you are ready to set your first piece of work.

If you would like something ready to teach with straight away, two example lessons are open to every signed-in teacher: Build a Virtual Pet and Python Theme Park. Copy either into your lesson library and you have something to set in your very first lesson.

During the pilot, everything here is free for every school until 31 August 2026, the whole teacher layer included. And if you get stuck at any point, get in touch. You will be talking to the teacher who built it.
