Marking and class summaries, with AI assistance that actually helps

The last two updates covered writing worksheets and starting from shared ones. This one is what happens to the work that comes back.

Worksheets now come with marking help for the questions that need judgement. When the class hands in or the due date passes, AI assisted suggestions are drafted automatically against your own marking guidance, so they are ready to review soon after, at the end of the lesson, at break, or whenever suits you. The objective questions have already marked themselves along the way, with part marks where they are earned; the written answers are where the real time goes, and that is what this is built for.

Review by question, not by student

The queue groups every answer to a question together, each with its drafted mark and feedback, the class average alongside, and a flag on the questions worth checking closely. Read a sample, adjust anything you disagree with, and approve the question in one go. The last answer in the set gets the same fresh judgement as the first.

Suggestions apply the mark scheme you wrote on the question rather than inventing one, and every drafted item is labelled AI-drafted until you approve it.

You return it

Approved marks stay draft until you choose Return marks and feedback: one action, with a plain statement of how many marked answers are about to reach how many students, sent as marks and notes, marks only, or held to teachers only. Students then see each mark and note under their own answer.

Then the class summary

Once the marks are in, the class summary drafts what the work revealed: focus points with the question and pass rate behind each one, students worth a closer look with the reason stated, and next steps concrete enough to take into the next lesson. Every number comes from the marking, and only you see it.
